Fike Girls Move Past Lady Bruins

The lady Demons moved to an astounding 4-0 with a win over cross-country rival, Beddingfield. A 14-4 run in the second quarter volted the host Fike varsity girls basketball team to a 50-35 victory on Tuesday. Fike’s 14-4 run was triggered by junior E.J. Proctor and senior Breyonna Brown. Proctor scored a game-high 17 points for Fike. Breyonna Brown tallied 11 while senior Jasmine Fate had seven points. “Right now, we’re an extremely strong team defensively,�? Howard commented, “and we’ve told the girls that defense is what is going to win championships. But offensively, we look horrible. We’re not running plays and taking quick shots.
