The seniors went out with a bang on Friday night as Fike defeated Northern Nash 42-21. Fike registered season highs of 42 points, 403 yards rushing, 442 yards total offense and 23 first downs. Senior quarterback, Sam Ellis, rushed for a career-best 215 yards and three touchdowns on just 13 carries. He also completed 5-of-8 passes for 63 yards and a touchdown. The Golden Demons’ 6-foot, 191-pound senior fullback , Jorelle Farmer, pounded for 143 yards and a TD on 23 rushes. Placekicker Drayton Williams, also a senior, was accurate on his six extra-point kick attempts. Fike’s defense was led by seniors Trae Hudson, Brandon Williams, 400-pounder Jamar Jones and Shane Tripp. Senior tight end Blake Coley caught a TD pass for the second straight game. “We knew we had to get a win,�? Ellis declared. “We had to do it for the crowd. It was a great way to go out (final home game for seniors).�? Added Hudson: “It feels great. It’s always good to win your last home game. All the seniors are super happy. I’m just super happy we got the win.�?
