Rocky Mount Tops Fike

Fike dug a deep hole early as they were overwhelmed with penalties and turnovers.  Just as you thought they were going to make a comeback, time expired on the clock.  “That’s the thing that stinks for our kids because we’re not a bad football team; we just have trouble getting over that hump a little bit,â€? Nelson said with a sigh. “Yeah, I hope we’re going to come out and play with great pride next Friday at home on homecoming and Senior Night. I hope we’re going to come out and play good.â€? Fike drops to 1-7 overall as they had to forfeit their win against Bunn in week 2.  The final score was 28-14.  Jorelle Farmer, who ran for 36 of his 90 yards on five straight carries. Then senior quarterback Sam Ellis went to work through the air, hitting Blake Coley for 15 yards, Alcindor Winstead for 6 yards and Coley again for 16 yards and a TD.  The “ALL IN” Demons are back on the field Friday at home for Homecoming and Senior Night.
